BACK II BASICS

The company was established in 2001 by Peder Barenholdt (right) and Jesper Kolind (left) in Vejle Denmark. In 2010 a new shareholder joined the company, namely Confiserie Triki. In addition to the Triki factory in Tunisia, we produce in three other sites today.

Since the establishment we have focused 100% on private label and sell directly to supermarket chains in Europe and USA. We consider ourselves your “Refreshing Partner in Private Label”.

Fundamentally, we believe in basic values and supply our clients with innovative and relevant products in the most cost efficient way without jeopardizing quality, reliability and ethical considerations.

It is a simple approach that works. The fast growth of the company continues and along the way we have been honoured with “The Entrepreneur Prize” from the Trade Development Board in Vejle, Denmark and twice “The Gazelle Prize” from the leading Danish business newspaper – Børsen. Confiserie Triki

The sugar business of Confiserie Triki Le Moulin was founded in 1948 by Mr. Ahmed Triki. Since then, the Triki family has diversified into other areas but the "heart" has always been - and still is - in the confectionery business. Confiserie Triki is today managed by the four Triki brothers (one of them is also part of the BIIB board). With location in Tunisia and a modern factory, cost efficiency is given - but Quality has always been top priority. Hence it was the first company in Tunisia to obtain a double certification ISO 9001 and HACCP. Today certifications include BRC (A+), IFS (higher level), BSCI (A level), Halal, RSPO and BIO (organic).

Annual production is approximately 6,000 tons and the site employs more than 700 employees.

The existing facility is from 1992 and the current size is more than 35,000 m2. In 2013 the factory was expanded with a 4,000 m2 sugar free area which is dedicated to Business-to-Business and BACK II BASICS.
